We are headquartered in Washington, DC, just blocks from the White House,
U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court. Ideally situated at the center of the
nation's policy environment, our professional staff is able to draw upon a
wealth of resources unavailable anywhere else in the country.
Our staff comprises leading experts in their fields. The breadth and depth
of their knowledge enable them to develop Frontier Solutions to today's most challenging public policy issues. Their work takes the form of written analytical reports, conferences,
software, modeling and simulations, databases and consulting.
New staffers enter NPRC as an associate or consultant, depending on
their educational background. Associate-level positions are designed for
college graduates with a bachelor's degree. Consultant-level positions
require an advanced degree.
We offer careers in three functional areas: policy and research, education,
and business development.
Associates are encouraged to work across research councils in an effort to develop a long-term interest. An associate's primary
focus is operational. He or she frequently assists consultants in executing
their strategic objectives. After three to four years, associates are expected to
pursue graduate work in their field of interest.
Consultants, our advanced-level track, are required to possess a high level
of knowledge about their discipline. They should be capable of using the
analytical techniques and methodologies characteristic of their field. A
consultant's primary duties and responsibilities are strategic in focus. |
